What an Amazing God we Serve

So today has been an awesome day. I was actually excited about every aspect of today. We taught about dating in the youth group, Ben and I sang a duet in church, 3 were baptized, 1 was saved, 3 joined the church, we ate lunch with a young couple and some of their family, we relaxed all afternoon, Ben spoke on discipleship in the evening service and then we ate dinner with some of our faithful core students. What an amazing Sunday. Notice I didn't say that it down poured and stormed most of the morning... some would look at rain as a negative but we really need it down here, how else are we going to get our lawn to get green again? Also, we had one boy in youth group saved on Wednesday (which I posted earlier) and there were 2 children in the elementary classes saved on Wednesday as well. Three single moms were saved yesterday at our single mom's oil change outreach as well. God is doing some amazing things and I am so thankful that He has allowed us to take part and even just see His hand at work. With all the amazing things that have gone on, there is no way that we could have done it humanly speaking. How can people say there isn't a God. Well I would just tell them that there is a God who is LIVING and who LOVES us enough to use us to share His precious Word. He doesn't need us but He chooses to use us anyway!! What an awesome God we serve!!! Hope your Sunday was as wonderful... Keep letting God use you and glorify Him in all we do!!

Hello there Megan,
This is Marla Ivey (a friend of the Jennings' family). Dennis was just here in Boston and I was able to visit with him--he bragged on you so much I felt I had to follow the link to your blog. :-) It is so exciting to read about the ministry the Lord has given you and Ben! I will be praying for you both. Please tell Ben I said hi and hope to cross paths and meet you sometime!
God Bless, Marla
