last saturday i discovered the wall paper in our bathroom coming up and there was something black growing underneath so, being the "daddys girl" that i am i decided to take on the project on my day off on monday and fix it all up. well, the plan was to take all the wallpaper off and then prime it and paint it. i was able to get step one done by the end of the day on monday. tuesday i patched up all the holes. wednesday i sanded them down. thursday i taped off all the edges and corners. friday we had an activity/fundraiser and then today i primed the room. i also painted a small part of the back wall with two coats of the new paint we picked out. it looks as if it will be too bright so we're possibly going to take the paint back and see if they can mix in something to darken it up a bit. we'll see. needless to say its been a longer process than i had planned on but it's been fun. i have realized more lately than i really enjoy doing all the things that i did with each of my parents. i like baking thanks to my mom, and i like planting plants and remodeling thanks to my dad. the best of both worlds. i guess i have settled into our house quite well and i am always looking at what could be changed and this time the project turned out to be a little larger than i had anticipated. its such a small room and maybe that's why it took so long to get everything just right. there are so many little spots and not very much plain wall space. all the pictures will be up after we get it finished to our liking. hope it turns out alright!
